The first thing we’d ask about your Lombok private trip is where you’re staying. Beaches can wait a moment. A hotel in Kuta gives you a different starting point from one in Senggigi, and that affects how much of your day disappears through a car window.
You probably already have a few places saved on your phone. Our suggestion is to choose the one you’d be disappointed to miss, then build a sensible day around it. Trying to fit every saved photograph into one outing? We’d leave that idea at the hotel.
You’re here for a holiday.
How much can you fit into a Lombok private trip?
Less than a crowded itinerary might suggest, if you want time to enjoy the stops. Lunch takes time. So does getting everyone back from the beach when someone has only just decided to go swimming.
We’d plan one main outing with a little room around it, especially if your group includes children or someone who prefers a slower walk. An extra stop can be a nice addition. It shouldn’t become an obligation.
If you’re unsure what fits together, we’d discuss a Lombok day tour package around your starting point and the place you most want to visit. That gives us something useful to work with beyond a list of names.

A beach afternoon or a day on the water?
They’re different days, even if both involve sandy feet. We’d choose a mainland beach route when you want the option of staying longer somewhere without having a boat arrangement to work around.
For a southern outing, Tanjung Aan and nearby Bukit Merese are worth considering together. We’d leave enough space between them for lunch, particularly if you’re beginning the journey outside the Kuta area and already have a substantial drive.
Nothing wrong with staying put.
An island outing takes a bit more coordination. If snorkeling is the reason you’re booking, we’d make that the centre of the plan and avoid adding a mainland detour just to squeeze another name onto the itinerary.
For the southwest, we’d look at Gili Nanggu Gili Sudak Gili Kedis as a dedicated outing, with time allowed for getting on and off the boat. Those small transitions are easy to overlook when you’re planning from home.
Gili Trawangan would be a separate choice. We wouldn’t combine it with the southwest islands in one day; you’d be giving too much of your holiday to transfers.
Maybe you’ve had enough beach time
That’s fair. After a few coastal days, you might feel more interested in a walk through Tetebatu’s rice fields than another afternoon searching for a shady patch of sand.
We’d suggest Tetebatu when you want countryside time and are happy to explore on foot, with the length of the walk discussed before anyone assumes you’re up for a long outing.
Senaru appeals for a different reason. If waterfalls are high on your list, we’d talk through the journey and walking involved before putting it into your lombok private trip.
Wet paths aren’t everyone’s idea of fun. We’d much sooner hear that someone dislikes uneven ground while planning the day than discover it when the group is already at the start of a walk.
Tetebatu offers rice field scenery, while Senaru is known for its waterfalls. We’d still plan them as separate outings.

What are you actually booking?
You might only want someone to drive. You’ve picked a beach, found somewhere for lunch, and don’t feel like arranging transport each time you move. Fair enough. A private car arrangement is worth discussing for that sort of day.
But perhaps you’re picturing a boat waiting when you reach the coast, with snorkeling equipment already sorted. That’s a different booking. We’d put those arrangements in writing so you can see what you’re paying for before the day begins.
The phrase Lombok private tour doesn’t settle any of that by itself. Neither does a photograph of a nice car.
For your Lombok private trip, we’d rather explain each inclusion before you pay than leave you sorting out extra costs during the outing.
Ask what’s included in the quoted price, particularly for activities away from the vehicle. We’d also clarify whether your driver stays with the car or whether a guide accompanies you at the destination. It’s an ordinary question, and you should feel comfortable asking it.
When one day starts feeling too short
Perhaps you want an island outing, but your partner has been looking forward to Tetebatu. We’d give each its own day. Otherwise, someone ends up cutting short the part they came for.
There’s no prize for finishing the longest itinerary.
With a few nights available, a tour Lombok 4 hari 3 malam gives us more room to discuss where you sleep as well as where you go. Moving hotels might suit your route. Staying in one place might suit your family better.
We’d work that out before filling every morning. You may want one day with nothing booked at all, especially after a late arrival or before another journey.
Your Lombok private trip can leave an afternoon free, too. You don’t have to book something for every day you’re here.
Rinjani is a separate discussion. If trekking is on your mind, we’d look at the walking commitment and current access arrangements first, then plan the rest of your stay around that decision.

Tell us about the bags too
It’s easy to mention four passengers and forget four suitcases. We’ve all seen how much luggage can come with a short holiday. For your lombok island private trip, knowing whether you’re changing hotels helps us discuss a suitable vehicle.
A day bag is one thing. Everyone’s luggage is another.
A map pin saves a lot of explaining. “Near Senggigi” still leaves us guessing where the drive begins, so we’d prefer your accommodation name before agreeing on a pickup time. You can send the booking location if you haven’t arrived yet.
Flying home that evening? Tell us before we get carried away with beach suggestions. Personally, we’d choose somewhere closer and enjoy a proper lunch, with enough time afterwards to collect your bags and reach the airport without rushing.
One last thing before payment. We want you to be comfortable with the written price and what happens if you cancel. Boat arrangements and other operating details can change, so an old quotation isn’t something we’d rely on for a new travel date. If weather affects the outing, the options should be discussed with you.
Is it worth booking for just two people?
For some couples, yes. Others would be happier sharing the cost of a group outing, and that’s fine too. We’d lean towards private transport if there’s somewhere you really want to linger, because having to leave just as you’re enjoying yourself is frustrating.
What if our children get tired?
Then a shorter day may be the better choice. You know your children better than we do, including whether they’ll enjoy a boat ride or get restless during a long drive. We’d use that knowledge to shape your lombok private trip, leaving a stop out if it makes the rest more enjoyable.
Can we skip somewhere during the trip?
Usually, skipping a mainland stop is easier to discuss than changing an activity you’ve already paid for. Perhaps you’ve found a beach you like and nobody wants to leave. We’d be happy to talk about staying longer, provided it fits the remaining arrangements and your agreed return time.
Do we need a finished itinerary before contacting you?
No, please don’t worry about getting it all worked out first. Even “we’d like some countryside time, but no long walk” gives us something useful to discuss, especially when we know where you’re staying.
Contact Lombok Day Trip with your date and the number of people coming. If there’s a place you’ve saved on your phone, send that too. We can look at availability and talk through your lombok private trip together, including the parts you’re still unsure about.
